How To Disappear In America

Last summer, after writing a story for Wired
magazine about people who fake their own
deaths, journalist Evan Ratliff decided to vanish
and invited the public to try to find him. While
he attempted to stay hidden for 30 days, he
was caught in 25, thanks in part to the digital
breadcrumb trail he left behind.

Join Peter Eleey, curator of The Talent Show
and Ratliff as they discuss data-mining,
surveillance, and other ramifications of a culture
awash in in information.

Clean Xplorer Price Cut

Here is a super clean Xplorer for sale. I saw this in the lot Sunday 7-1-12 at Metro RV in Burbank. It was not open at the time, so I took a pix with my phone through the bars of the gate. The sign on the window said it was marked down to $8900, which is reasonable for this great semi-stealth RV in this nice condition. I think the price was around $10,000 back in March, so this is reduced by a thousand bucks. Metro also has a really great service bay for RVs in the back of the lot. If I get into the area later this week I will try to get some snapshots of the inside. I would buy this in a flash minute if I had the dough, assuming the engine and transmission are good. For one or two folks you can’t beat this and it is very low profile, perfect for urban stealth living or go anywhere in the US easily with this top-notch rig.
